About Eleanor

I believe that all emotions and behaviors make total sense, if given the chance to explore your unique experiences, circumstances, beliefs, assumptions, and fears. I enjoy helping people make sense of being a human, recognizing that sometimes things don’t make sense, but we can find ways to survive, and even thrive, through anything that arises. Being a human is nuanced, confusing, and hard – and women and moms face unique challenges – but there is so much potential for excitement and fulfillment as well. I enjoy helping other women and moms find clarity. I love helping you develop a meaningful and empowering connection with yourself and your challenges, so that you feel more confident and in control.

In my own personal and professional journeys I’ve used a combination of wilderness, art, yoga, mindfulness, and human connection as tools for growth and healing. I worked as a wilderness therapy guide for five years, in which I learned foundational aspects of emotional education and communication skills. I have a Masters in Social Work from Denver University. I live in Durango with my husband, my 13 year old step son, and our 1 year old baby girl. Balancing the needs and stages of a teenager and a toddler is one of the most challenging and beautiful things I've ever done, and it's a passion of mine to parent intentionally and learn about the best ways to help them feel loved and supported while challenging them and helping them grow. I Iove working with women who seek support and growth regarding parenting and marriage/relationships, as well as with personal challenges.
“The mark of a wild heart is living out the paradox of love in our lives. It’s the ability to be tough and tender, excited and scared, brave and afraid— all in the same moment. It’s showing up in our vulnerability and our courage, being both fierce and kind”
— Brené Brown, Braving The Wilderness
